A community for the underrepresented in tabletop games

The Rose Gauntlet Foundation was founded to meet and support more underrepresented individuals in the tabletop gaming industry. Its origins began in 2017 when Isaac Vega reached out to other LGBTQ+ individuals working in tabletop games to meet for dinner. The event started with a small group of four, but quickly grew each year, eventually earning it's name, "Big Gay Dinner."

In 2020, when Lindsey Rode and Isaac Vega created Rose Gauntlet Entertainment, they wanted to continue this tradition and expand it to those who did not have the means or connections to meet others who were trying to find community in the industry.

In 2022 Rose Gauntlet took this dream one step further by hosting the BIPOC Lounge at Gen Con, widening the scope of our mission. Following the success of that event, many other conventions and companies looking to support their efforts reached out to Rose Gauntlet. To better handle the growing desire for more events and spaces to be created across the industry, Rose Gauntlet decided to start a non-profit organization.

Rose Gauntlet Foundation was officially formed in 2023 after a lot of research and organization, to create a new home for these events that help underrepresented groups within the tabletop games industry find community, resources and opportunities to grow.

As we continue our vision to support underrepresented groups of people in tabletop, we hope to add even more events and resources with the overwhelming support of our community. Through our efforts we know that we can continue to build a foundation that will support the tabletop games industry growing into a more diverse and equitable space. By taking opportunities to form community we know that we can grow stronger together and in turn support a wider range of voices seeking to find success.
